Attach Your Hanging Hardware
Every frame we ship out will come with a hanging kit to ensure you have everything you need to get your work on the wall.
We will send you:
D-rings and screws, the size of which will vary per frame.
Framers string trimmed to fit each frame both portrait and landscape.
2x 9kg brass hooks designed for GIB walls.
Step One: Ensure you have your tools
You will need a drill or screw driver to attach your d-rings to the frame.
All our frames have pre-drilled holes at the perfect height to make it as easy as possible.
Step Two: Attach your D-rings
Select the orientation of the work, and ensure you have put it in the right way up in relation to the holes. The holes should be closer to the top.
Screw in the d-rings so they are pointing towards the middle of the frame.
Step Three: Tie your string
Double check your d-rings are sturdy - you shouldn't be able to spin them.
Take your string and tie a loop in one end. Thread your string through and pull taut.
Thread through the second d-ring and tie a series of half hitches, ensuring the string is as taut as possible across the back.
Any excess string we recommend tying up instead of trimming just in case you want to hang your frame landscape at a later date and need the extra length!
Step Four: Check the string
The string will stretch a little bit in the first few weeks. To ensure it doesn't drop too far, pull up on the string to stretch it a little before hanging.
Also, be sure to tug at the string near each d-ring to ensure your knot's are sturdy.
