We're Shipping at Level 3 | Covid 19 Update

As of Tuesday the 28th of April, we will be heading back into the workshop again! This means that we will be shipping out orders again.

Orders placed during Level 4:

We will prioritise getting these orders out in the first few days of being in the workshop. Please be patient as the couriers will be taking longer than usual to get packages from us to you with all the tricky changes they have had to make to ensure everyones safety, and the abnormal influx of online ordering.

Orders placed during Level 3:

Our packing turn around times will be as close to normal as possible, and we’ll aim to get your frames with the courier between 1 and 3 business days after your order is placed. Some frames are made to order and frames need to dry overnight before being fitted, which can add to the turnaround time.

Because couriers will likely be overloaded over the next few weeks, and delivery times are delayed, you have the option of contactless collection from our Ponsonby workshop should you rather that to waiting for delivery. This is a service we offer normally, but during Level 3 will be BY APPOINTMENT. This is in part because the workshop is not open to the public during this time, and the collection point will be out the front of the building. We don’t want packages sitting there for a long time in the sun. It also ensures our ability to sanitise and do contact tracing for all those coming on site to collect items.

Your safety:

It’s important to us to keep you as safe as possible. We will be taking precautions when crafting and packaging your frames, but we still suggest just to be safe that you quarantine your frames for 3 days upon receiving them. Sanitising may stain and ruin the boards due to the amount of liquid, as well as damage the finishes of your frames, so proceed with caution.

The safety of our team:

Artefact Frames, and its parent company El Framo, are family run businesses. We as a family have unexpectedly, but thankfully, been in lockdown together through Level 4, and will be coming into the Ponsonby workshop as a bubble through Level 3 to fulfil all orders for Artefact and complete custom framing jobs for El Framo.

Because we are able to do everything as a family unit in the meantime, all our team members are able to stay home until Level 2 to ensure their safety, and ours.
